If students access Web 2.0 tools or apps on their own while at school, are their teachers liable for their actions?

No. Teachers are not liable for any Web 2.0 tools or apps students use in school where they have previously set up accounts on their own.

If a teacher wants a student to use a particular tool for an assignment, and requests that the student sign up, the Guidelines must be followed.
